Responsibilities:

• Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions
  
• Implementation of structured systems and processes to track key benchmarks like Job Cost and Margin Analysis, sales team performance, etc.
  
• Recommends additional benchmarks and ways to measure the financial and operating performance of the company
  
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget. (Budget vs Actual)
  
• Oversee daily operations of the accounting/finance department
  
• Supervises Staff Accountant and associated A/P and A/R transactions
  
• Responsible for overseeing accounting procedures, internal controls (implementing, monitoring, enhancing)
  
• Randomly audits work flow to assure that all accounting transactions are appropriately authorized
  
• Substantiates and justifies expenditures and expense reports
  
• Prepares monthly journal entries
  
• Prepares weekly cash flow statements
  
• Prepares general ledger reconciliations
  
• Assures internal control compliance

Required Knowledge/Skills:

• 5+ years of experience within a structured, systems-driven Finance / Accounting environment.
  
• Bachelors Degree is required
  
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  
• Experience in a job cost accounting environment is ideal
  
• Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Experience with Sage’s MAS 90 Accounting Software is highly preferred
  
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations
  
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
  
• Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis
  
• Must be a great communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Leadership skills with a positive attitude and ability to see the bigger picture
  
• Advanced skills with MS Excel is required. Experience with FRX, MS Access is preferred
  
• CPA is preferred
